Due to specific hazards in industrial buildings and production halls, chemical factories and power plants can often present a multitude of challenges. When a power outage occurs, production lines must be able to continue to run for a specific period of time and therefore need a non-disruptive power supply.

In medium-voltage and high-voltage switchgear, a battery-supported DC power supply is required as an auxiliary power supply so that the switchgear can switch reliably even in the event of a power failure.

The auxiliary power supply must be secured by an uninterruptible DC power supply that guarantees the function of the mains protection for at least 8 hours. For generation plants with complete dynamic grid support, it is mandatory to use an auxiliary power supply with battery.

The building construction around production halls and administrative office spaces can be highly complex, and often there are employees working in these areas around the clock.

As emergency situations often call for a large number of people to use escape routes and emergency exits simultaneously, they must be easily identifiable from any direction.
